Heavy rain is expected in the lower Central Plains including Bangkok, the East and the upper South from Sunday as a depression moves in from Vietnam and Cambodia, the Meteorological Department warned on Friday. He predicted the storm would pass over central Vietnam and Cambodia between Sunday and Tuesday. That would increase the risk of heavy rain, flooding and runoff in the East, Greater Bangkok, the lower Central Plains and upper South, he said. On Monday and Tuesday more impact is predicted in Chumphon, Krabi, Phangnga, Phuket, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Ranong and Surat Thani. People living along the eastern coast of the South should beware of waves during the period.
